What is Gemini Live?

Google compares the experience to Google Assistant, but with enhanced AI-driven features. You can interrupt Gemini Live to explore a topic more deeply or pause the conversation and return to it later. One standout feature is the hands-free operation – you can converse with the AI in the background or even when your phone is locked. Additionally, Gemini Live offers 10 different voices, allowing you to choose the one that best suits your preferences.

New Extensions and Features Coming Soon

Google plans to release new extensions for Gemini in the coming weeks, further enhancing its functionality. These extensions will allow Gemini Live to work with popular apps like Keep, Tasks, and Utilities, as well as extend its capabilities to YouTube Music. An extension for Google Calendar is also on the way. Users who replace Google Assistant with Gemini on Android can activate the AI using the familiar “Hey Google” command. Integration with YouTube, Gmail, and Google Messages is also supported, making Gemini Live a versatile tool for managing various aspects of your digital life.
